  • Choose a photo for your profile.
  • Choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose from a variety of audio and video options.
  • If you have more than one microphone device attached, choose a different one.
  • Automatically modify microphone settings - If you turn this on, the volume of your microphone will be automatically adjusted. When you turn this off, you can manually change the volume of your microphone. (Skype for Web does not have this feature)
  • Noise cancellation - For Skype calls, adjust the Noise cancellation setting. Find out more about AI-based noise reduction.'
  • The following are the alternatives available to you:
  • Auto (default) - The Skype program adjusts the level of noise reduction in response to your surroundings.
  • Low - Low amounts of persistent background noise, such as a computer fan or air conditioner, will be muffled. However, if you wish to share the music you're listening to, you can use this option.
  • High - Except for speaking, all background noise will be muted.
  • Noise cancelling is turned off.
