Section 75 of the Tamil- Nadu City Police Act 1988 states
That whenever any public who is in charge of maintaining peace and serenity in the public, questions any person while performing his duty which is legal to the law, the person should reply politely.

What denotes Sec.75 of the City Police Act?

Overview
This section is personal to the state of Tamil-Nadu only and it has a statute that bound the people or accused to act politely with the public officer of the state who is maintaining public peace and security. And provide the power to any public officer to question the person who is disturbing the public peace, creating a disbalance in the society, and sometimes using the liquor items due to which he is not able to stand properly. It gives the provision of question, inquiry, arrest.

Section 75 of the Act
The section has the further two subsections. The heading of the section explained the means of the public place and says
Whoever in any public place like office, statin house or court or any place of public Amusement or on board of any passenger boat or vessel. If found in any of the below situations will be found guilty and liable to the punishment.
If he is found Drunk and incapable of taking care of himself.
Found drunk and under the influence of liquor or drugs.
Have the intention or objected to breach the public peace uses the language which can be violent or boisterous or righteous or indecent manner and using any threatening, abusive or insulting words.
Further,
subsection 2 explains that the act of misbehaving to the public officer and breaching public peace, and using annoying language to the neighbors, and being found Drunk and driving a vehicle will be held liable for the destruction of public peace.

Any person convicted under this section will be punished under the conviction which will not exceed the one year of the imprisonment and fine that will not exceed from the thousand rupees.
Misuse of the section
as the law has given such provision to the public officer, they are using it for the self-interest and threatening the public in large numbers.
