EMBARGO is a legal prohibition by a government or a group of governments

What is Embargo?

Here the word ‘Embargo’ means the restriction on the departure of vessels or the movement of goods from some or all locations to one or more countries.

This word is mainly related to trade, especially the water trade for example a restriction on the export of any kind to one or more countries. In general terms, we can say it is a Ban on all commerce. In some circumstances, this word is used when the necessary supply is restricted or banned to military power by the government or any other authority.

An embargo is a tool of economic airfare that can be employed for a variety of political purposes like sending a signal related to political purpose, demonstrating resolve, showing the enmity to the enemy, retaliation from any country, making the military power of any country weak, etc.

Example of Embargo
In 1992 the United States redoubled its effort to enforce compliance with its decades-long embargo against Cuba just to show the retaliation for the war going on between the Cuba and American air force.
The next example of the explanation of the word Embargo is in June 2021 India banned the list of the arms that he used to take from other countries like America and Russia, in order to boost its Domestic defence production and exports. Here the ban of the y Indian Government on the list of foreign authorities is considered to be an Embargo.
Including this India has also imposed an import Embargo on 101 weapons and other military hardware instruments and started to realize the strength of its own production.
