Is there community transmission of COVID-19 in India?

Community transmission of any disease or epidemic occurs when there is no basis for the source of an infected person. The same is in the case of the current corona pandemic. That is, you have not come in contact with someone who had coronavirus, but despite this, you have also suffered from it.

When there are a large number of cases in an area and this number spreads continuously, then it can be called community transmission.  In such a case, no person even comes to know that he has suffered from Coronavirus, but testing reveals the truth.

According to the World Health Organization, this is the third stage of the coronavirus. That is the first stage when an infected person comes to your area. In the second stage, people who come in contact with the infected person may suffer from Coronavirus. And the third stage is when any person gets infected without any source.

The government has emphasized that the disease has not yet reached the point where community transmission began to occur. However several scientists differ from the government stand and consider the notion that there is already a community transmission stage in India with the peak yet to come.
