On 27 March 2019, India successfully tested an anti-satellite enemy of satellite weapon during an activity code-named Mission Shakti which means "Power". The dedicated target of the test was to hit the satellite in a low Earth orbital circle, which was hit with a kinetic kill vehicle. DRDO's world-famous and highly powerful Ballistic Missile Defence inceptor was used in this mission to make sure it is successful. The test was done in the lower atmosphere to make sure there is no space debris left.
