Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is an auxiliary of the Indian Railways that handles the cooking, the travel industry and internet ticketing tasks of the Indian railways, with around 5,50,000 to 6,00,000 bookings daily. It is the world's second-busiest ticketing website with noteworthy booking of 15 to 16 Lakhs tickets each day.  

IRCTC held a first sale of stock on the National Stock Exchange on 30 September 2019, the IPO got oversubscription of 112 times. Presently IRCTC began running private trains and "Tejas Express" become India's first private train on fourth Oct 2019. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed off the Tejas Express, the nation's first "private" train run by its auxiliary IRCTC, on the Lucknow-New Delhi route.
