When did International Justice Day observed?

International justice day is celebrated on 17th July every year. It recognises the emerging system of international criminal system. On this day treaty international criminal court was established.

The Review Conference of the Rome statute held in Kampala Uganda and the Assembly of the State parties declared 17th July as international justice day.
International Criminal Court is a full form of ICC. When 120 states adopted a statute in Rome, it came out. The countries which agreed to the statute accepted the jurisdiction of the ICC with regards to the prosecution of extremely serious crimes.  
Importance of this day :-  
This day is celebrated worldwide because people are needed to aware and united to support the justice.
Its main aim is to promote the rights of the victims.
It forces people all around the world to pay attention at serious issues.
It provides safeguard to the people from several crimes.
It helps in warning those people who stand against the peace and security.
