Arunachal Pradesh” the part of seven sister states and being the eastern state of India is known as the ‘Orchid State of India’. Arunachal Pradesh shares its borders with the states of Assam and Nagaland to the South, and shares its International borders with Myanmar in the East, Bhutan in the West, and China in the North direction.

The meaning of the name of Arunachal Pradesh is "land of the dawn-lit mountains". It is a Paradise of the Botanists. However, according to the Hindu mythological, Arunachal Pradesh was the place where sage Vyasa meditated, sage Parshuram washed away his sins, Lord Krishna married his consort Rukmini and, King Bhishmaka founded his kingdom. The State was established on February 20, 1987. Its official language is English. The Economy of Arunachal Pradesh is mainly dependent over the Agriculture. The state also had the privilege of having the largest monastery of India i.e. ‘Tawang Monastery’.
The major tourist attraction of the state is its rich diversity and beautiful green atmosphere, which comprises of 4 National Parks and 7 Wildlife Sanctuaries in the state. The state has the scenery beauty of Himalayan Range as well as the majority of land of state is covered by the Patkai Hills and the Himalayan Foothills. The landscape of Arunachal Pradesh is very beautiful and unique, as on the journey from Assam one can see everything from the plains to snow-capped peaks. However, the state has the presence of the Army and other arms of the armed forces at every part of the state.

The state comprises of total 17 districts, having 60 members in the State Legislative Assembly, and only 2 seats for Member of Parliament Election. The Literacy rate of Arunachal Pradesh is about 65.38% as per the census of population in the year 2011, and having a total population of 13.84 Lakh, which make it the lowest density state in India.
