Mukesh Kumar, former president of the Indian Judo Federation, was re-elected Secretary-General of the Asian Judo Union in 2018. Pratap Singh Bajwa, President of the Indian Judo Federation, was elected Vice President of the Asian Association and President of the South Asia Judo Federation at the Congress held in Fujairah, UAE.
Addressing the media present at the event Mukesh Kumar had said, "The training camp of top countries in Judo will be held in India in 2020. The South Asian Judo Championship is also planned to be held in India next year. " Mukesh Kumar is also the Chairman of the Technical Conduct Committee of the 36th National Games allotted to Goa. He announced that A judo instructional course of best nations will be directed in India in 2020. South Asian Judo Championships is additionally being made arrangements for one year from now in India.
