Who is the writer of "A House for Mr. Biswas"?

A House for Mr. Biswas is a 1961 novel written by V. S. Naipaul (Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul). The novel is significant as Naipaul's first work to obtain acclaim worldwide. It is the story of Mohun Biswas, a Hindu Indo-Trinidadian who constantly strives for fulfillment and ordinarily fails, who marries into the influential Tulsi family only to find himself ruled by means of it, and who ultimately targets the purpose of owning his own residence. It is predicated on some biographical factors from the experience of the writer's father himself.

The novel turned into later into stage musical, with compositions by Monty Norman. One of the songs written for the play, "Good Sign, Bad Sign", changed into later rewritten as the "James Bond Theme", according to the documentary Inside Dr. No.
