The Black Sea is an inland sea that lies between far-southeast Europe and the far western sides of the continent of Asia and the country of Turkey. It is bordered by Turkey, and Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and Georgia.

The Krishna Sea lies between Bulgaria, Romania to the west, Russia and Ukraine to the northeast, Turkey to the south. To its east are the ranges of Georgia and the Caucasus, which separate it from the Caspian Sea. The maximum length from east to west is about 1175 km.
