How to enable/disable Wi-Fi

Enable

Using the laptop's Wi-Fi button, turn it on.

Some laptops contain a Wi-Fi connection On/Off button or switch, similar to the one seen in the image. It's commonly located on the laptop's front edge or just above the keyboard. Check to see if the button or switch is turned on. The button should be lighted in blue or the switch should be in the On position when activated.

In Windows, turn on Wi-Fi.
Look for the Wi-Fi or wireless Internet icon in the Windows notification area. Right-click the icon with your mouse and choose the option to enable (or disable) the Wi-Fi device from the pop-up menu. There may be an option labeled Open Network and Sharing Center if the Enable option is not accessible in the pop-up menu. If that's the case, choose this option and then Change adapter settings. When the icon for the wireless network card appears, click it. and select enable

Disable Wi-Fi on your laptop by pressing the Wi-Fi button.

In Windows, disable it.

Select Disable (or Turn off) from the pop-up menu when right-clicking the Wi-Fi symbol in the Windows notification area. There may be an option labeled Open Network and Sharing Center if there is no Disable option in the pop-up menu. If that's the case, choose this option and then Change adapter settings. Right-click on the wireless network card icon and select Disable.
