Steps to recover data from broken iPhone 7 after an iOS update
- If you synced your iPhone with iCloud before it was damaged, all of your data is stored on the cloud, and all you need is another iOS device to restore and access the data.
- The following steps will show you how to achieve it: If your iPhone has previously been set up, erase it. To do so, navigate to Settings > General > Reset and select Erase All Content and Settings from the drop-down menu.
- After you've deleted your device, start over with a clean slate. You'll be prompted if you want to recover data right after the WiFi screen. Select Restore from iCloud Backup from the drop-down menu.
