Bugs and viruses have also been suggested as probable culprits. If this is what's triggering the alert on your iPhone, a fresh software update will most likely fix the problem. Apple released the newest version of iOS. If your device is not set to automatically install updates, you must manually check for and install any available updates. Then here's what you should do:

  1. Go to the menus Settings-> General->Software Update.
  2. If a notification appears indicating that an update is available, hit the Download and Install option to proceed.
  3. Tap Install to update the program right now. If you don't want to wait, hit Later and then Install Tonight or Remind Me Later.
If you want to Install Tonight, make sure your iPhone is plugged in and has enough power to complete the update. The update will be applied to your device automatically over the course of the night.
