Reset the factory settings
If nothing else works at this point, you can erase the phone and reset the OS to factory settings. This will erase all user data, including photographs, videos, and messages, so make a backup to your PC or the cloud-first.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Select General.
- Restart by pressing the Reset button.
- Erase All Content and Settings is the option to choose.
- Continue by entering the right passcode for your device if required.
- To confirm the action, tap the selection.
