Minor app malfunctions or random network failures are most likely to blame in the beginning. Restarting the app should resolve these issues and get Netflix up and running properly once again. So, follow these steps to restart the app:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to the middle and keep it there until the App Switcher displays.
  2. To find Netflix in the applications list, swipe left or right.
  3. Touch and hold the Netflix app firmly.
  4. Then, to clear the app hit the Minus (-) sign/icon.
  5. Alternatively, as soon as you see the minus symbol, swipe up to quit the Netflix app.
If you see any other background programs, close them all as well so that none of them interfere in any conflict with your iPhone’s Netflix operations.
