After that, you can attempt restoring in recovery mode. This will put your device into recovery mode, allowing iTunes to restore and fix your iOS.

  1. Use the original Lightning cable to connect your iPhone 8 to your Mac or Windows computer.
  2. When your iPhone is connected, immediately press and release the Volume Up, Volume Down, and then the Side/Power buttons until the phone reboots. Even if you see the Apple logo, keep pressing the Side/Power button.
  3. Once you see the Connect to iTunes screen, release the Side/Power button.
  4. When you open iTunes, you should get a notification that says, 'There is an issue with the iPhone that necessitates it being updated or restored.'
  5. Select the option to Restore, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the entire iOS restore process in recovery mode.
Corrupted system data should now be cleared and your iPhone must be working properly again afterward.
