When the SIM card is displaced or not correctly seated in the tray, the No service error might result. To clear this up, use these procedures to remove and reseat the SIM card on your iPhone X:

  1. Completely turn off your phone.
  2. To eject the SIM card tray, use the SIM eject tool or a paperclip into the supplied slot on the right edge of the device.
  3. Pull the SIM card tray gently out of the slot.
  4. Remove the SIM card from the card tray and set it aside.
  5. Look for apparent evidence of damage, such as scratches or dents, on the SIM card. Place it back into the SIM card tray with the gold contacts pointing down if everything appears fine.
  6. In the SIM card slot, place the SIM card tray.
  7. To secure the SIM card tray, press down on it.
Turn on your computer after the tray is locked and fastened in place.
