Attempt to restore your device using a previous backup, rather than the one you just made (if you managed to create a backup in iTunes anyway).

The following are the general steps for performing a thorough restoration:

  1. Make a copy of your files as a backup. You can accomplish this in a variety of methods, but the quickest and most efficient method is to use iTunes on your PC or Mac. If you don't want to make a backup, simply follow the procedures in this link to delete everything on your phone.
  2. Use the cable that came with your phone to connect your iPhone to your computer.
  3. We're assuming you remember your phone's passcode, so just type it in when prompted.
  4. When iTunes asks for a specific device, select your iPhone.
  5. Select the option that will restore your data once you're at the Summary panel or screen.
  6. Click the Restore button to confirm.
  7. Allow a few moments for iTunes to restore your device's factory settings. It may also take some time if iTunes needs to update to a newer version of the operating system.
  8. All software settings should be restored to their defaults after this factory reset.
