This reset will erase all of your existing settings while leaving data on the internal memory untouched. All default values and original settings are restored after the reset. As a result, any settings errors or invalid options will be removed. Here's how you do it:

  1. From the Home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. A reset can be found by scrolling down and tapping it.
  4. Choose Reset all settings from the drop-down menu.
  5. Enter your device passcode if prompted.
  6. Then press to check that the system settings have been reset.

When the reset is complete, your iPhone should reboot on its own, but if it doesn't, you'll have to manually restart or soft reset it. A device restart or soft reset is recommended to clear cache files and transient system data that may have been corrupted as a result of the update installation.
