- If your iPhone 7 isn't already turned off, do it now.
- For 3 seconds, press and hold the On/Off button on the right side (iPhone 6 and later) or top (all other iPhones).
- Swipe the confirmation slider to the right to turn off the light.
- On your iPhone 7, press and hold the volume down button.
- Make sure your iPhone 7 is connected to your Mac or Windows PC and that iTunes is open.
- When you see the Connect to iTunes screen, release the volume down button.
