Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian honor of India and this honor is provided for exceptional national service. It involves variant services such as arts, literature, science, public service, and sports.
The game was not included before but it was later included in the list. This honor was established on January 2, 1954, by the Indian President Rajendra Prasad. Therefore, this honor has been given to the people even after posthumously. So far 12 people received this honor posthumously. Only three persons can be given 'Bharat Ratna' in a year.
The names of Padma Vibhushan, Padmabhushan and Padmashri can be named in the category of other prestigious civil honors. In the original form, the design of the medal of this honor was 35mm spherical gold medal in which the front sun was formed, above the Bharat Ratna in Hindi was written and the coronation was below and the national symbol and goal sentence (Moto) would be written backward.
Later, the design of this medal was changed to the sunlight of Platinum on the leaves of copper made of copper. Below it is written in silver- 'Bharat Ratna' and it is worn in the neck with white lace. The government has so far awarded 41 people with Bharat Ratna.
Chakravarti Rajgopalachari was the first person who was honored with Bharat Ratna in 1954. This list includes people from every area of society. Nobody was able to get this honor from the sports world, but Sachin Tendulkar became the first in the list.
