  • Memory sticks, often known as flash drives or thumb drives, send and receive data from computers via a USB connection.
  • Connect the memory stick to a Mac's accessible USB port. Your Mac will install the appropriate driver software if you are using the memory stick for the first time. On your Mac's display, a USB icon will appear.
  • Double-click the symbol to activate it. You can also open the Finder window by clicking 'Finder' and selecting the USB icon under Devices. In a different window, the contents of the memory stick will be displayed.
  • Click the USB symbol and select 'Save' to save open documents or software to your memory stick. You may also save a document or application by dragging it to the USB icon and selecting 'Save.'
  • Click 'Open' after you've selected the file or software you want to use. Your software will launch, and the file will open in the programme that came with it. Remove your memory stick from your Mac properly by selecting 'Eject' from the File menu after clicking the USB symbol. To eject the memory stick from your Mac, go to 'Finder' and click the upward-pointing arrow.
  •  Delete files and programmes from your Mac by selecting them from the list and dragging them to the 'Trash' folder. To erase the chosen content, press 'Ctrl' and 'Trash.' To delete several files from a memory stick, hold down the 'Apple' key on the keyboard while clicking and dragging the cursor over the files you wish to delete.
