what is difference between lawyer and advocate.

There is no big difference between Lawyer & Advocate. A lawyer is a Person who still in the process of pursuing LL.B/Law whereas Advocate usually refers to a lawyer who is completed his law course and no more is a student. 

You can say that, Advocate may be a Lawyer but lawyer not may be an advocate.
