‘Cyrus S. Poonawalla’ is an Indian Businessman with a Net Worth of $8.1 Billion. According to Forbes Ranking, Poonawalla has been ranked the 7th Richest Person of India and the 170th Richest Person in the World.
He completed his education in India, and after that handled his father business of Race Horse Breeding. Then, in 1966, he founded the ‘Serum Institute of India’ and makes it into the one of the World’s Largest Vaccine maker. The Serum Institute produces about 1.5 Billion doses of vaccines annually for Measles, Polio, and Flue. The Serum Company owns other International Vaccine Units, i.e. a unit from Dutch Vaccine maker ‘Bilthoven Biologicals’ and the Czech unit of U.S. firm ‘Nanotherapeutics’.
