At a gathering in New Delhion February 19, 2014, Hamid Ansari, India's Vice President, published a book titled Public Issues Before Parliament, written by Vijay Darda.
The book is a compilation of Vijay Darda's notable accomplishments during his time as a Member of Parliament. The book is devoted to the average man who sees Parliament as a physical manifestation of his hopes and dreams.
During the book's launch, the Vice President stated that Parliament is now becoming a hotbed of popular dissent. He further stated that the venue of agitation and the site of the debate cannot be interchanged. He made this remark in the aftermath of the use of pepper spray in the Lok Sabha in the third week of February 2014, as well as the spectacles witnessed in the state Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir.
