The book ‘Runs’n Ruins’ was written by the former Indian International Cricketer ‘Sunil Gavaskar’.His full name is ‘Sunil Manohar Gavaskar’ and nicknamed as ‘Sunny’. He is known as one of the greatest Test Batsmen and best Opening Batsman in Test Cricket History. He wrote ‘Runs’n Ruins’ in the year 1984.
He played as Right-hand Batsman in the Indian Cricket Team. He made the record of 34 Test Centuries and hold the record for almost two decades before it was broken by Indian player ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ in December 2005. He received the honors of ‘Padma Shri’ and received ‘Padma Bhushan’ in the year 1980 for his successful International Career from the former Indian President Neelam Sanjiva Reddy. He was awarded the ‘Col. C K Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award’ for Cricket in India in the year 2012. For a while, he has been the Chairman of the ‘ICC Cricket Committee’.
