The autobiography of one of Pakistan's most notable exiled businesspeople,

'I arrived to see a battle zone, not the lovely hotel we had painstakingly constructed. We discovered the bodies of our beloved visitors, colleagues, and friends: faces I knew, faces with whom I had worked and smiled. The crater, which was 60 feet broad and 20 feet deep, astounded me. Over 1000 kg of RDX had been used to make it.

The hotel had been brutalized rather than assaulted. It was carnage, with dead bodies and mutilated limbs, as well as little puddles of blood. I thought of myself as a tough guy who'd seen a lot of blood and gore, but what I witnessed that day left me scared.'
