The book ‘And then One Day: A Memoir’ is an Autobiography of renown Hindi Film Actor and a fine Theatre Artist ‘Naseeruddin Shah’. The book was released on September 12, 2014.

The book was published under ‘Penguin Publication House’. In the book, he narrated his experiences, some dark sides of his life, drug addiction, sex and acting, and many more. He viewed his life memories from the early years of his life ‘from zero to thirty-two’. How his life turnaround from Meerut to a Catholic School in Nainital and Ajmer and later end up to the film stardom in Mumbai. He even lived his experience of Aligarh University, National School of Drama, and the Film and Television Institute of India through his Autobiography. As well as, many humorous, dark and funny sides of his life during the childhood to the struggle phase was narrated by him with sheer dedication and innocence. He even narrated his struggle with the other struggling actors of his time, how he earned his living through acting, his love affair, and his early marriage, his success, and failure, all these various events were narrated by him with remarkable frankness.
The writer Naseeruddin Shah is a critically acclaimed versatile actor, director, and a teacher in theatre. He played the lead role in more than 200 films, under about 60 professional theatre production in India and Abroad. Apart from a credible actor, he is also a good sportsperson and he likes to watch and play Tennis and Cricket as well. For his top class acting, he had a huge award list. It includes National Film Awards, as well as Padma Shri acclamation in the year 1987, and Padma Bhushan award in the year 2003. He even won, ‘Sangeet Natak Academy Award’ and ‘International Indian Film Academy Award’ in the year 2000.
