‘My Name is Abu Salem’ is a Biography of Mumbai famed gangster which was written by “S. Hussain Zaidi’. The book was released on November 16, 2014. The book was published under Penguin Publication House.

The writer S. Hussain Zaidi a former Investigative Journalist in Crime and Terror reporting. He does the reporting for Asian Age, Mumbai Mirror, Mid Day, and Indian Express. He wrote few more books about the gangsters which includes Black Friday, Mafia Queen of Mumbai, Dongri to Dubai, and Byculla to Bangkok. As well as, his two books Black Friday and Dongri to Dubai have been adopted by the Bollywood Directors to make the movie over it.
The book ‘My Name is Abu Salem’ is very well researched and narrated by the writer without hampering too much the facts and not being very opinionated about any situation. The book narrates various events of Don’s life from his childhood to how he became Don in Mumbai, and how he fell in love with Bollywood actor Monica Bedi. The book even removed the curtains over his involvement in the Mumbai Blast case of 1993 as well as his involvement in the murder of famous Devotional Music Director Gulshan Kumar. As the well-known fact about his open relationship with the actress Monica Bedi was also highlighted very well and his connections with many artists in Bollywood. And many times he even attempted to murder many famous persons belonging from Hindi Film Industry.
