Pelé (Brazil) won the FIFA World Cup at the age of 17 years 249 days on June 29, 1958, at the Rsunda Stadium in Solna, Sweden.

Pele, a Brazilian icon and forward player, is widely regarded as one of the finest players to ever grace the beautiful game. At the age of 17 years, 7 months, and 23 days, he did so.

Pele is the most well-known footballer in history, having won three World Cups and been arguably the greatest attacking player of the previous century. In 1958, he won his first World Cup as a 17-year-old, when Brazil defeated hosts Sweden 5-2 in the final.

Pele made his tournament debut against the Soviet Union in a 2-0 victory for the Brazilians earlier in the competition.

Four years later, in Chile, he won the World Cup again, and eight years later, in Mexico, he won his third World Cup trophy.

With 77 goals, Pelé is Brazil's all-time best scorer.

From 1956 until 1974, Pelé won a deluge of trophies for Brazilian club Santos, including 10 Sao Paulo state league titles, a top tournament at the time, six Brazilian championships, two Copa Libertadores victories, and the Intercontinental Cup in 1962 and 1963.
