Sailen Manna (1971) - Another Mohun Bagan defender on the list, Manna was a commander from the back. He was the captain of the Indian team that won the gold medal in the Asian Games in 1951, as well as the team that competed in the Helsinki Olympics in 1952.

Manna was discovered by Gostho Pal and was offered a position with Mohun Bagan at his suggestion. He was also named 'Player of the Millennium' by the AIFF.

Sailendra Nath Manna, often known as Sailen Manna, was an Indian international footballer who is widely regarded as one of the best defenders India has ever produced. He was born on September 1, 1924, and died on February 27, 2012.

He is the only Asian footballer to be chosen by the English FA as one of the top ten captains in the world in 1953.

He graduated from Surendranath College, a University of Calcutta-affiliated college. He worked for the Indian Geological Survey.

In 1971, the Indian government bestowed the Padma Shri on him.

In 2001, he was also given the title of 'Mohun Bagan Ratna.'
