Dr Harsh Vardhan (born on 13th December 1954) an Indian politician is the current Minister of Science and Technology (assumed office on 9th November 2014). He is also the Minister of Earth Sciences (assumed office on 9th November 2014), Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (assumed office on 27th May 2014). He is handling these portfolios under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr Harsh Vardhan born in New Delhi, India is a member of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). He is a Member of the 16th Lok Sabha and represents Chandni Chowk. He assumed office as Member of Parliament from 16th May 2014. Dr Harsh Vardhan was Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly for Krishna Nagar and was in office from 1993 to 16th May 2014. He was the Minister of Health and Family Welfare from 26th May 2014 to 9th November 2014. For the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections, Dr Harsh Vardhan was the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).
