The Occupational Safety health and working conditions code, 2020, preferably abbreviated as the OSHWC, came into legislative existence on September 28, 2020, after the presidential assent. It meant to subsume 13 archaic labor laws persistent in our nation from around a century before some even older.

The NDA government reasoned the inlet of new codification and amendments based upon yesteryear roots of a pre-existing mess of the concurrent labor laws. It is said to aim at the ease of doing business and also at plowing the field even for regulations under these laws at both the organized as well as the unorganized sector of industry operating pan India.

While the four different codes under the bill now an act superficially appears to be a boon for the working class of the country about the capitalist strata of our economy, the sheer amount of ambiguity at almost every thread of the law and it's enactment makes it a highly biased and prerogative hoax which amalgamated with the ill will of any government in power could be turned deliberately into a weapon of mass exploitation.

As the Indian economy stands at the brink of its meltdown, the consecutive desperate moves floated on by the government ceases to surprise the intellectuals, as it's just an old tale wrapped in a new cloth.

The strategy of snatching entire fields in return for a meal to the hungry and desperate is nothing new, and would never turn old, for we turn a blind eye to the details and believe in what we went to believe in.

The bills, acts, and laws are not mere words on one piece of paper which could have the error only in its written variable, but a living part of an ordinance that can not be separated from the variable of human fallacies and intentions.

The question remains. Employer or Employees. Who do you favor more?

And as we keep dangling at either of the extremes, the country and people at large suffer for the atrocities and biasing of the chosen few.
