Pinchot is considered as a pioneer in terming it as “conservation ethics”. He is also termed as “Father of American Forestry “. He called it "the art of producing from the forest whatever it can yield for the service of man. During his term as the Chief of US Forest Service, he helped country’s forest reserves to grow at faster pace and guided agencies to grow naturally and work with it simultaneously so that the gift of God can be a friend in the path of development. He also founded Yale Forest School (now F&ES). His contribution towards nature is widely regarded because the conception of this idea permeated into his mind at the time when most the world was not aware of it.
