*Vijay Rupani takes the pledge for the second back to back term as Gujarat CM*
Vijay Ramniklal Rupani (conceived 2 August 1956) is an Indian government official from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has been boss pastor of Gujarat (a western territory of India) since 7 August 2016 and is an individual from the Gujarat Legislative Assembly speaking to Rajkot West.
He was conceived in Rangoon, Burma to Mayaben and Ramniklal Rupani, in a Jain Bania family, in the year of 1956, he was the seventh and most youthful child of the couple. In 1960, his family moved to Rajkot because of political unsteadiness in Burma. He examined LLB from Saurashtra University and Bachelor of Arts from Dharmendrasinhji Arts College.
He began his profession as understudy dissident related with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). He joined RSS and thusly joined Jan Sangh in 1971. He hosts been related with Bharatiya Janta Get-together since its foundation. He was detained for 11 months in the correctional facilities in Bhuj and Bhavnagar amid the Emergency in 1976. He was chosen as a corporation of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) in 1987 and turned into the administrator of the waste advisory group. On 19 February 2016, Rupani turned into the state BJP president, supplanting R. C. Faldu. In August 2014, when Vajubhai Vala, the officeholder speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, surrendered as the MLA from Rajkot West as he was selected as the legislative leader of Karnataka. Vijay Rupani was selected by the BJP to challenge his empty seat. He won the bypoll on 19 October 2014 by a gigantic edge.
He was drafted as a priest in the main bureau extension by Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in November 2014 and held the service of transport, water supply, work, and business.
