The Government of Bihar has banned the manufacturing, distribution, sale, purchase, display and advertisement of electronic cigarettes in the state.

Electronic cigarette or E-cigarette is a kind of cigarette which is smoked through Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS). Ravindra Kumar Sinha the State Drug Controller (SDC) issued a statement banning the sale and purchase of E-cigarette in the state both in offline and online mode. The statement has been sent to the assistant drug controllers (ADCs) and drug inspectors for the strict enforcement of this rule.

Bihar is an Indian state in the eastern and the northern part of the country. The state was formed on 22nd March 1912. Every year this day is celebrated as Bihar Diwas in the state. Bihar is formed by combining the three distinct regions of Magadh, Bhojpur and Mithila. The new state of Jharkhand was formed on 15th November 2000 by splitting the southern part of Bihar. The capital of Bihar is Patna. Bihar is of a bicameral legislature with 75 seats in the Legislative Council and 243 seats in the Legislative Assembly. There are 38 districts in the state with Patna being the largest city. Mr Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister of Bihar. Mr Lal Ji Tandon is the Governor of Bihar. Hindi is the official language of the state.
