The theme of the official emblem of the Indian state of West Bengal ‘Biswa Bangla’ was designed by the Chief Minister of the state Ms Mamata Banerjee. The logo with Ashok Pillars highlighting Bengal’s Biswa Bangla theme was launched by Mamata Banerjee on Friday, 5th January 2018 after getting the approval for the logo from the centre on Wednesday, 3rd January 2018.
