In ‘New Delhi’ the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has organized the 3-day
National Meet on Grassroot Informatics-VIVID 2018. The meet has taken place
from February 8, 2018, to February 10, 2018, at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The event has been inaugurated by ‘Ravi Shankar’ the
Union Minister of Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice at India Habitat Centre.
The theme of Grassroot Informatics- VIVID 2018 was “Cyber Security and Innovation”
. VIVID was the platform to share the knowledge which would empower 240 NIC District Officials from across the country
. The National Meet also include various relevant topics which include Artificial Intelligence
, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Threats and its Measures, Critical Information
protection, and many more topics were taken under consideration. The aim of the National Meet was to represent the various initiatives of the National Informatics Centre in creating and enhancing the security of the Digital Infrastructure in the Country.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) was established in 1976. It is the
2nd season of the National Meet on Grassroot Informatics by National Informatics Centre. The
two products developed by NIC were also launched by the Honorable Minister. These are, S3WaaS (Secure, Scalable, and Sugamya Website as a Service) and CoEAS (Centre of Excellence for Application Security).
