NITI Aayog has been conducting such a survey for the last few years to know the health of the country. The information that has come out of this year's health index says that Kerala is the healthiest state in the country, while states like Bihar, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh have 'war' to get the last place.

Reports of the poor state of health facilities in Bihar-UP and Odisha have been reported in the last few months. Now the health-index of NITI Aayog has opened the barrage of these states.

Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra are ranked second and third respectively after Kerala, which topped the NITI Aayog's health index. At the same time, states like Haryana, Rajasthan and Jharkhand have been placed in that category, where the condition of health facilities has improved. The NITI Aayog issues this health index based on 23 health-related standards in various states of the country.

The results of this survey conducted on the basis of 2017-18, considering the year 2015-16 as the base year, are certainly startling. Because at a time when the central government is trying to work seriously to implement health-related schemes, the performance of states like Bihar, UP, and Odisha is disappointing. Especially in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, which are counted in the big states of the country, there is a worry about the medical system there.
