Central Institute of Agricultural Technology (CIAE) is an institute of agricultural education and research and development located in Bhopal. It is an autonomous institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The Central Agricultural Engineering Institute aims to carry out research work related to agricultural engineering.
It was established on 15 February 1949. This research center spread over one hundred and fifty acres of land provides information about various educational programs and training for farmers about high level agricultural technology and research. Initially, its scope was in the fields of agricultural machines, post harvest technology and energy in agriculture. But later its scope was expanded to include agro-industrial, instrumentation, irrigation, and drainage engineering etc.
One of the very few agricultural colleges in India and a strong student exchange program. The college collaborates with some of the leading names in India in placements. The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) had become an active functional unit of the college since its inception.
Since then the college has been working very hard to train its students so that they can survive in the severed competitive market. Some of the programs organized by the college to assist the students.
