The Loan Agreement for the financing of the Rajasthan Water Sector Restructuring Project for the Desert Areas was marked between the Government of India and the New Development Bank (NDB) on thirteenth February 2018 at New Delhi. This is the principal tranche advance of USD 100 million affirmed by the NDB under the Multi Tranche Financing Facility of USD 345 million for this undertaking.
The target of this project is to restore the 678 km long Indira Gandhi Canal framework worked during 1958-63 to forestall drainage, moderate water, and improve water use productivity as commanded by both public and state-level arrangements on water use.
