Raja Lakhamagouda dam, otherwise called the Hidkal dam, is a dam developed over the Ghataprabha River in the Krishna River bowl. It is arranged at Hidkal town in Hukkeri Taluk of Belagavi locale in North Karnataka, India. The dam with the tallness of 62.48 meters and 10 Vertical Crest Gates, seizes an enormous supply with a gross surface region of 63.38 Square kilometers, and a capacity limit of 51.16 tmcft.

It is an earthen and brickwork dam that obliges the Irrigation requirements for more than 8,20,000 sections of land, and Hydel power generation.It is built as an aspect of the Ghataprabha Irrigation venture which was finished in three stages and completed in 2009. The dam is named after Raja Lakhamagouda Sardesai, giver and Zamindar of Vantamuri.

Raja Lakhamagouda Sardesai (1864–1942) was an altruist, first Barrister-at-Law from Karnataka and a leader of Vantamuri august state in Belagavi area. He was the sixteenth leader of Vantamuri regal state. He rose the seat at 13 years old years in 1877.

The august state had a Wada (conventional mansion at Vantamuri which was worked by Prabhu Basavantrao and it was lowered in 1978-79 when a dam was fabricated downstream at Hidkal.
