Ranji Trophy!
The Ranji Trophy is an intra prime-class cricket championship which is been played in India among the teams who represents the state and the regional Cricket Associations. The Championship comprises of 28 Teams, out of which 21 of the 29 states in Delhi and India would be having at least of one portrayal. The championship had been named after a remarkable Indian Cricketer, who was also involved in the match been played internationally, he is recognized as Ranhitsinhji, also been called as “Ranji”. He has given his contribution for Sussex and England.
The championship was launched in one of the meetings scheduled in July 1934, with first competition which took place in the year of 1934- 1935. Thus, it was denoted by “Ranji”. The initial match of the Championship was scheduled on 4th of November 1934 between Mysore and Madras at the Chepauk Grounds in Madras in its finals.
Mumbai has bagged the total of 41 wins which included 15 back-to-backwins in the year span of 1958-59 until 1972-73.
Well, jumping back to the question the Ranji Trophy-2015 was bagged by Karnataka after defeating their companions in championship Tamil Nadu, and this was their 8th title for the Ranji Trophy.
Talking about the most recent championships that are been held by Vidarbha, and the title was bagged by Delhi by 9 wickets in the finals of the season 2017-2018 which was held at Holkar Stadium, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
