Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to score a double century outside India. He achieved this feat while playing against the West Indies on 22nd July 2016. Indian cricket team was on the tour of West Indies in July 2016. Virat Kohli scored a ton in the first test match of the series against the hosts. Virat Kohli scored 200 runs facing 283 deliveries at a strike rate of 70.67. He reached the figure at the stroke of lunch.

Virat Kohli is the captain of the Indian cricket team in all the three formats of the game. Born in Delhi on 5th November 1988, Kohli is a right-handed batsman. Virat Kohli made his one day international (ODI) debut against Sri Lanka on 18th August 2008. Virat Kohli became the 175th player to represent India in the ODIs. Virat Kohli made his test debut against the West Indies on 20th June 2011. He was the 269th player to represent the country in test matches. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Virat Kohli represents Royal Challengers Bangalore. He is the captain of the team.
