Anil Kumar Prakash holds the national record in 100m sprint running at 10:30 seconds. And not only in the 100m sprint running as he holds the national record in 200m sprinted running too with a finishing time of 20.73 seconds.
He made this record in the year 1999 and won the silver medal in the International Circuit Meet at Chennai by finishing on 2nd position to Chintaka de Zoysa and six years after he set the benchmarks of 100m sprint running at 10:33 seconds he once again reaffirmed that he is the king of track for India as again in 2005 he finished the dash in 10.30 seconds at National Circuit Athletic.
