"Kashyap Parupalli"
Kashyap Parupalli has clinched the men's singles title at the Austrian Open International Challenge badminton tournament. Born on 8 September 1986 Kashyap Parupalli got his training in Pulela Gopichand Academy which is now supported by Olympic Gold Quest, a not-for-profit foundation supporting Indian athletes.
Kashyap Parupalli created history when he reached the quarterfinals of the men’s singles in the London Olympics in the year 2012 as he was the only male player from India to do so. He won a gold medal at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games in the men's' singles and was the icon player of Indian Badminton League team, Banga Beats in 2013 edition.
Kashyap Parupalli has been also awarded India’s one of the finest sports honor Arjuna Award by Government of India in 2012.
