Indian Government contributed $1 million for rehabilitation work in cyclone-hit Tonga. As the cyclone did such a massive destruction in the passive island nation our country has allocated $5000,000 India-UN Development Partnership Fund for the rehabilitation efforts while $500,000 will be provided for immediate relief assistance.
Backed up by the government of India The India-UN development partnership is managed by the United Nations office for the South South Cooperation. The mainstream things which are been supported in the fund are Southern-owned and led, demand-driven, transformational sustainable development projects across the developing world, with a focus on least developed countries and Small Island developing states.
