India along with France with will co-host the first International Solar Alliance summit at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. It will be held on 11th March 2018 where at least heads of 10 states will take part and the ISA will the representation from around 120 countries and multilateral bodies such as United Nations, Asian Development Bank, and World Bank.

International Solar Alliance is basically a treaty-based international organization made up for enhancement and promotion of solar energy in alliance with 121 countries, which are lying fully or partially between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. The primary topics of discussing of the summit will be variant of things like rural electrification, off-grid solar, water supply and irrigation.
