South Asian Games 2016!

What is the mascot of the 2016 South Asian Games?

The 12th South Asian Games 2016 will be mutually facilitated by Guwahati and Shillong from February 6-16, 2016. "TIKHOR", a one-horned rhino, is the mascot of the games. It conveys the message and goal of peace, stability, amity, and advance in the South Asian region. Tikhor is a mainstream character from Burhi Aair Sadhu (Grand Mother's Tales). The book is the main assemblage of kids' society stories by Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezboruah, a doyen of present-day Assamese literature. The logo of the occasion is a flower with eight petals speaking to the 8-taking an interest countries. The signature song of the diversions is 'Ei prithivi ekhan krirangan/krira hol shantir prangan' (This world is a play arena and games are an image of peace). The song was composed by Bhupen Hazarika in 1995.
